LINDSAY KEMP'S COME-BACK
Carlos Miranda has received a commission from The Lindsay Kemp Company to write the score for
their new production, a mask inspired by the life and death of Queen Elizabeth I. Produced by the Santander Festival and three other Spanish theatres, the
premiere is scheduled for April 2005 in Santander, to be followed by Spanish and Italian tours.
Kemp, who will design the sets, with costumes by Sandy Powell, is to play the central role of Elizabeth in what will be a welcome return to his theatrical roots following a five-year-absence during which he directed several opera productions across Europe.
