Steve has worked extensively in film, television, recording and commercials. He has recorded with many artists including – Queen, George Michael, Robbie Williams, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Sting, Mick Jagger, Mark Knopfler, The Who, The Pet Shop Boys, Seal, Ian Dury, Wet Wet Wet, Eric Clapton, Tom Jones, Joe Cocker, The Spice Girls, Chris De Burgh, Jimmy Nail, Engelbert Humperdink, Henry Mancini, Charlie Watts, Buddy Rich, Stan Tracey and Michael Nyman.
Recent credits include orchestrating and conducting Robbie Williams’ best selling album, ‘Swing When You’re Winning’, as well as conducting the highly acclaimed broadcast performance and recording of “Robbie Live At The Albert” & ‘The Robbie Williams TV Special”. He also arranged and conducted Robbie’s version of ‘Have You Met Miss Jones’ for the end titles of the film ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’. He worked for Baz Luhrman as orchestrator of ‘Diamonds Are a Girls Best Friend’ (featuring Nicole Kidman) and ‘Rhythm Of The Night’ for the celebrated ‘Moulin Rouge’ and orchestrated ‘Young Hearts Run Free’ for ‘Romeo & Juliet’. He has recently orchestrated and conducted two songs for Disney productions - ‘101 Dalmations 2’ & ‘Teachers Pet’, two songs for Seal’s new album, with producer Trevor Horn and the end titles of Mona Lisa Smiles ‘The Heart Of Every Girl’ written & performed by Elton John. He recently worked with Brian May orchestrating ‘46664’ – the signature tune of Nelson Mandela’s Aids Foundation Charity Concert held recently in Cape Town and an orchestral version of ‘No One But You’ for the Spanish version of We Will Rock You. He also orchestrated the Olivier winning Madness musical “Our House” as well as several songs for Andrew Lloyd Webber including a version of the title song of ‘Woman in White’ performed by Shonagh Daley.
Recent TV credits ‘The Olympic Torch Concert’, ‘Stars In Their Eyes’, ’Reborn In The USA’, ‘The Royal Variety Performance’ & ‘Holiday On Ice’.
Recent original scores include advertising campaigns for Guiness, Coca Cola, M&S, Woolworths, Nissan Micra, Vauxhall Corsa, MacDonalds, Supernoodles, Fairy Liquid & Vodafone and the childrens TV series ‘Harry & The Wrinklies’, He has also contributed dozens of compositions to the music libraries of KPM, Bruton, Chappells & Boosey & Hawkes.
He is currently working on projects in London & Los Angeles including the musical supervising of Children In Need for the BBC.
